Cappadocia is located at the crossroad of connecting through Niğde- Kırşehir road by following Nevsehir, Aksaray – Kayseri road. Distance from Nevsehir to Ankara is 276 km, 729 km to Istanbul, 81 km to Kayseri, 91 km to Kırşehir, 82 km to Niğde and 75 km to Aksaray. Therefore, you can wander around the whole region of Cappadocia without long distances by highway.

Location of Cappadocia

When you think of where Cappadocia is connected Nevsehir, which is separating to two regions by Kızılırmak, is located at the hole zone by geographically. T This mysterious city is surrounded by Kayseri from the east, Kırşehir from the south and Yozgat from the north, has several small and large valleys. How to Get to Cappadocia?

You can go to Cappadocia by your own car, by bus or train but also, if you want to short trip you can go with by plane. However, we should say that going by your own car has many advantages because you will see many attraction points in Cappadocia in a map that you marked to visit and you will spend effort for transfers between these places. On the other hand, if you go with your own car or a rent car, you can go anywhere you want and take a break whenever you want, and also you will enjoy the breaks and viewpoints. If you decided to come by plane, you choose the shortest way. As we said in the beginning, Cappadocia is known almost all countries in the world so Turkish Airlines in particular, many airlines have flights to Cappadocia. You should choose one of Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport. If you land in Nevsehir Airport, the distance between Nevsehir to Cappadocia is 30 km. We should remind you about the direct bus services are not available except taxis and airline company services. If you land in Kayseri, the distance between city center and airport is 100 km and you can prefer ‘Havaş Transfer Buses’ except taxis.

If you like travel by bus and choose it for Cappadocia, you can arrive directly in Nevsehir and you can arrive Cappadocia with taxis and minibuses. Many bus companies have regular services to the region. Even if travel by train is nostalgic, it is very long and more expensive alternative for Cappadocia. Trains arrive at Kayseri only and train station is 8 km away to bus terminal and you should go 81 km more from Kayseri Bus Terminal to Nevsehir and it means you will spend 1-1,5 hours more.

We must warn tourists who won’t come with their own car to Cappadocia about researching transportation alternatives in advance and buying tickets as early as possible. Especially for hols and public holiday times can be a problem finding tickets.
